Nantclwyd Y Dre, situated among Castle Street's period properties off St Peter's Square in Ruthin, is Wales's oldest dated timbered town house according to Denbighshire County Council and is protected as a Grade 1 listed building. The building dates from 1435 and has served a few purposes in its time, including judges' accommodation. The building features several architecturally important component including a pillared porch. Today, the property is open to the public as a historic house/museum and serves as a backdrop to summer outdoor theatre/events.

Lovely building and gardens in a very historical street

A six hundred year old house lovingly restored. Each room is done to a different period. The gardens are recently restored and look lovely. Friendly staff and modest admission
