Weatherspoons in Ruthin has separate room on the ground floor. If you want quiet and cosy or join the hustle of the bar. Food is here as good as any other spoons. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Really pleasant 'chain' eatery. Excellent customer service, clientele normally friendly & respectful. Excellent app to order food & drink. Extremely wide variety on the menu. Quality of food really tasty at very reasonable prices. Enormous (& almost stately in parts) building.
I like Wetherspoon pubs because you always know what to expect and food and drink is always excellent value. Most Wetherspoons have made excellent use of historical buildings and this one was no different. Busy at the bar and the person serving us didn't seem to be too familiar with the menu. Wish I had the Wetherspoons app on my phone so the ordering process would have gone more easily.
One of the nicer Weatherspoon's that I've been to. Good mix of drinking space and eating space. Very kid friendly and loads of room. Good is so so, but pretty cheap. Nothing special food wise bit you get what you expect for a good price from them. Drinks are cheap and there's loads of choice. Good atmosphere but a shame there's no music. One of the best pubs in Ruthin and where most people go to eat or stay a night out.
Oh my! What a fascinating building! It goes back a long way with rooms leading off. A Georgian style building and beautiful plaster work on the ceilings in keeping with this period. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and local pictures of Ruthin and area are there to look at. There is a strong connection with Charles Darwin , hence lots of pictures and information about him.The ladies were amazing!! Clean and tidy, but the rooms were full of wooden beams, ornate plaster work - worth climbing upstairs to see for yourself.It's a really pleasant place and I'd certainly visit there when next in Ruthin.
